If you’re looking to get married again, it makes a huge difference. Different professions have wildly different divorce rates. A woman’s job can make a big difference between future marital bliss or another trip to divorce court. While these woman may be fine to date short term, here are the top three professions to avoid at all costs if you plan to marry again.

Dancers and entertainers

Love attending the ballet or modern dance performances? Do you easily fall for singers and musicians? Cancel your season tickets and don’t go to the performance tonight. Dancers and choreographers top the divorce charts with a nearly 45% divorce rate with other entertainers coming in at a 30% divorce rate. Perhaps it’s the constant travel and long tours or the close quarters with fellow performances. Whatever the reason, a large percentage of entertainers make it a point to perform their swan song in divorce court. If you are looking for a long term relationship, look for someone who doesn’t work in the limelight.

That is until she mixes you a tall glass of divorce papers. With a 40% divorce rate, you may find yourself on the wrong end of last call if you marry a bartender. Order another round of drinks, but make dinner plans with someone else for a lasting marriage.

Don’t lose hope though, there are plenty of professions which offer a low divorce rate. Scientists, engineers, medical specialists, and farmers made the bottom of the list with divorce rates all well below 10%. It appears that complex work leads to great stability in marriage.
